George Jones Plant Farm is a crucial behind-the-scenes contributor to the Carrboro Farmers’ Market: many different farmers’ produce starts out as seedlings from Mr. Jones. He has also grown seedlings for NC State University and NC A&T. Farming is in his blood, as his grandfather was a tenant farmer and he grew up farming during his summers in Johnston County. Mr. Jones has been a member at the market for 8 years.
