V. Mac and Peggy Baldwin, run their grass-fed beef operation on over 600 acres along with their son Craig and grandson Stephen. V. Mac bought his first calf at age 10, and after serving in the Navy, marrying his sweetheart Peggy, and working for years as an electrical engineer, he was able to follow his dream and start a cattle farm with Peggy in 1969. They raise Charolais cattle, which produce high-quality, lean beef.
All cattle are grass fed. Winter grazing is rye grass & crimson clover. Summer grazing is crab grass. We don’t use pesticides or chemical fertilizers on our pastures because we want our grass to grow chemical free. We also do not use any hormones (most of which are estrogen-based) or antibiotics on our steers. Should any steers get sick and are require treatment to recover, they are removed from our direct marketing program.
The Baldwins sell at the Saturday Market.
