Cates Corner Farm is a small family farm located just seven miles outside of Carrboro. Recognized as a North Carolina Century Farm, Betty Ray and Jonathan Ray are the seventh and eighth generations to farm the land. Twenty-five years ago the farm was a dairy, but presently, fresh fruits and vegetables are grown on 5 acres of the land and sold at market, along with eggs and flowers.

Cates Corner Farm sells at the Wednesday and Saturday Market.

Growing Practices: Preserving a place that will nurture and sustain the community and uphold the value of fresh, local food production. Natural, local fertilizers, obtained from neighboring farms, are used during production. Cates Corner Farm grows more than 40 varieties of fruits and vegetables and do so naturally without sprays or chemicals.
