Zack's Family Farm

Over two decades ago, Dalton and Hazeline Zachary, self-described “old-fashioned” farmers, began selling at the Carrboro Farmers' Market.  Their son Rickey and grandson Aaron now carry on the tradition, growing fruits and vegetables on 6 acres of their 65-acre farm and grazing cattle on the rest of it.  The Zachary homeplace has been in the family for over 100 years.

Growing Practices - We have a green house to start plants.  Some of our planting is controlled with plastic and drip lines. Based on soil samples I supplement the ground with organic materials.  I do not use synthetic chemicals on plants.
