Join us for our Second Annual People's Peppers on Saturday, October 3rd!
Peppers have a longer season than many other Market vegetables, and come in a huge diversity of shapes, sizes, colors, flavors, and amount of heat! Market farmers have the whole spectrum covered with over 40 kinds of peppers, from super spicy to juicy and sweet with varieties like Habanero, Serrano, Padron, Aji Dulce, Shishito, Carmen, Mary Jemison, Jimmy Nardello, Revolution, Tequila, Gold Rush, Yummy, and more!
Starting at 8:30am, Market volunteers will be serving samples of fresh peppers and two finalist pepper recipes, selected by Sheri Castle from the People’s Peppers recipe contest. Market shoppers will vote on their favorite recipe to select a winner, and all the pepper recipe submissions for the contest will be immortalized in a People’s Peppers mini-cookbook that will be available for sale at the event. Con Acento will keep everyone moving with some acoustic Latin grooves! All samples will be available while supplies last.
